MOSCOW, Oct 14 (PRIME) -- Russian banks’ deposits with the central bank decreased to 977.7 billion rubles as of early Thursday from 2.750 trillion rubles on Wednesday, the regulator said.
The central bank accepts deposits of commercial banks in order to regulate the banking system’s liquidity. The deposit rates can either be fixed or set during deposit auctions.
